Activities November/December 2022

Fall is here at last! And running season is in full swing – from the Chicago Marathon (congratulations, Donnie Cowart for finishing 37th out of 40,000 runners!) to Moonlight Madness, Salem Lake and the Ardmore Rah, races have kept us busy.

October 11 saw the final race in the 2022 $5K races, and we had an impressive collection of runners of all levels compete. Just five months until we can start the 2023 edition.

We hosted two social runs: A breakfast run with Omega Sports in September and a social run at  The Playground on October 22.

And after being delayed slightly by a hurricane, we had a hardy crew join in our quarterly Hanes Park cleanup on October 8.

What’s next? Plenty!

Some details are still coming together, but here are a few dates to put on your radar:

November 19: Free fun run with the American Cancer Society at Joymongers Barrel Hall, pairing with their pop-up Fall Market Fundraiser. The Fun Run starts at 4 p.m., and participants can choose 1, 3 or 5 mile routes. Twin City Track Club will also have a tent with water bottles and hot chocolate provided by the American Cancer Society for runners and walkers after the Fun Run. Sign up and find more information here.

November 24: Thanksgiving Day Hash Run, 8:30 a.m. at Miller Park. A leisurely social run of 3-4 miles with some of your favorite Track Club friends and family. All are welcome! No need to register, hash runs are FREE.

December 3: Holiday Party at Village Square Tap House in Clemmons

December 24: Hats and Bells Elf Run hosted by Er Ralston (details and signup to come)
