Frosty Fifty, January 6-7, 2023

The Frosty Fifty is actually a collection of races of multiple distances, allowing runners of all abilities to participate and start the new year strong.

You can go for the whole 50 kilometers – four laps around Salem Lake – or you can halve that AND get a chance to run with Olympian and Boston Marathon winner Des Linden in the 25K race (just two laps plus bragging rights). Des will be speaking that evening at the Twin City Track Club Winter Seminar.

Or grab your crew and run one lap around the lake each as part of a 50K relay team in the Gwyn’s Grace Relay. Read Gwyn’s story here

Or kick off the whole weekend of fun with the evening 5K on Friday night.

Please note: Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2022. There will be no race day registration.

But wait, there’s more!

Get ready to tailgate. Reserve your spot – a 10×10 tent space and room for one vehicle – today. Only 10 spaces are available. Be close to the action and reserve a place for you or your group to hang out between races! Register here!

For awards, handmade coasters made by artists at the Monarch Studio 651 in downtown Winston-Salem will serve as overall and masters awards for this year’s winners. Monarch’s Studio 651 is a vocational activity center and adult development day program with a focus on creative arts and community engagement. Artists will be onsite at the event to sell their artwork.

Support the Community

And finally, the entire Fit 4 Race Series is also a fundraiser for two local nonprofits: Down Syndrome Association of Greater Winston-Salem and the Winston-Salem Street School. You can make a donation to support these two organizations when you register or on-site at the races.
