With 2022 one-third of the way done, we are heading into high racing season. And we’re getting together more, too, with some creative activities.
In March, we tried a new version of the St. Patrick’s Day Hash Run with a St. Patrick’s Day 4 Leaf Clover Run in partnership with Fiddlin’ Fish. Runners scanned a bar code at check-in to receive a clue to the next stop on the run. Each stop had another code and another clue. After snapping a selfie to prove they’d reached all four locations, participants returned to Fiddlin’ Fish, where Padraig the Leprechaun was ready to reward them with a cold coin to cash in at the bar.
On April 9 we partnered with Fleet Feet to host a breakfast run. The weather was chilly to start, but a 3- or 5-mile run (give or take!) warmed everyone up nicely. And then a delicious cooked breakfast (those muffins were ridiculously good!) with friends old and new was a nice treat to start off a busy spring Saturday. April 12 was also the kickoff of $5K 2022.
As we head into summer, we’re returning to Leinbach Park on May 1 for the annual Twin City Track Club picnic and Annual Meeting. And be sure to join the hardy group of volunteers for the spring Hanes Park Cleanup on May 7.
