Summer arrived early in the Twin City, with temperatures soaring into the 90s multiple times before the Fourth of July. But that hasn’t kept Twin City Track Club members from hitting the streets and getting together.
On May 1, we met at Leinbach Park for the annual Twin City Track Club picnic and Annual Meeting. The potluck was back and the burgers and hot dogs made the kick off of the new TCTC year feel like old times.
May 7 brought another chance to take care of Hanes Park with the quarterly spring clean up. Don’t worry: You’ll have another chance to clean up the park later this year!
We have three $5K races under our belts, with more to come July 12 and August 9.
On July 7, we’re heading to Truist Stadium to watch the Winston-Salem Dash take on the Wilmington Blue Rocks in the third of a six-game series.
On Monday night, July 11, TCTC will be doing a social run with Greensboro Running Club and Run Like a Fish at Fiddlin’ Fish Brewing. More details coming soon.
