Payton Kilby – Communications

Payton Kilby has been interested in running her whole life. Growing up in Winston-Salem with running clubs in elementary school to track and cross country through middle and high school, this has always been a big part of her life. After studying at UNC-Wilmington for four years, she has ended back up in the Triad area for work at Volvo Group.

She is excited to be supporting the club through communications. She’s looking forward to getting onboard and creating new ways for members and the public to learn more about the great things Twin City Track Club is all about.

Payton found out about TCTC when moving back to Winston in 2020 after graduation through Terry Wilmoth. They met through the Alumni Association Board at UNCW, where Payton served as an active student representative on the board. Ever since then, Payton has been a part of the club and has helped with timing some local races.

After running two marathons, Payton has hopes to qualify for Boston. She is trying to decide what race to choose next, but is excited for the adventure another marathon will bring. Outside of running, Payton enjoys coaching Girls on the Run, being involved in Junior League, serving on the American Cancer Society Young Professionals board, gardening, hiking, and playing sports.

She’s looking forward to a great term on the TCTC Board for 2023-2024!
