Alicia Rider – Activities

Alicia Rider has faced health challenges time and again, but she possesses a fierce determination to take charge of her own health and fight the odds.

She started her life with asthma and having to wear braces on her legs to correct bone alignment, but that didn’t stop her from running track in high school.

Running became even more important to Alicia once she had her daughter and developed rheumatoid arthritis. She runs to show her daughter that anyone can overcome obstacles as long as you have a positive attitude and determination.

You can often find her running at Salem Lake, taking her daughter to violin practice, or volunteering at Twin City Track Club events.

Alicia is excited to join the TCTC board to help others find the joy in running that she’s experienced throughout her life.
