The 2023 Twin City Track Club Winter Seminar coincides with the Frosty Fifty race weekend. And this year, we are honored to welcome Olympian and Boston Marathon winner Des Linden.
A bit about Des
California native Desiree Linden started making her impression on the running world as a high school freshman, running a sub-5-minute mile. She attended Arizona State University, where she was twice an All-American in track and cross country.
She represented the United States in the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. She’s finished more than a couple Boston Marathons, becoming the first American woman to win in 33 years in 2018. In 2021 she broke the women’s world record for the 50K.
A weekend to remember
Des will join the runners at this year’s Frosty Fifty, running the 25K on race day on January 7. And in a new format for the Winter Seminar, Des will speak at the Atrium at Wake Forest Biotech Place, Innovation Quarter from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. TCTC members will receive a 20% discount, and club membership discounts are automatically applied on the payment page during registration. There is also special pricing for youth under the age of 18 for the Seminar Speech.
And don’t forget to reserve your spot for this year’s Frosty Fifty events, with numerous distances to fit your running goals.
