My name is: Rob Boyce
(But I’m also known as): Dad. Although I don’t hear it enough since the children have grown and spread their wings. One in Hoboken, NJ. One in Washington, DC. One in Davis, CA.
To sum myself up in a nutshell: I have been happily married to Nancy for over 30 years and I am working at my third health care start-up company, a biotech focused on preventing a rare pediatric disease.
And I’m originally from: Nowhere in particular. I grew up in a Navy family and moved often. Most recently from New Hope, PA (in the Philadelphia, PA suburbs).
I’ve been in Winston-Salem: Since 2021.
Became a TCTC member because: I needed inspiration. And there is plenty among the group!
Been a “runner” since: I have been a runner off and on for many years. I started more consistently since hanging up my soccer cleats about 15 years ago.
My motivation to run is: To allow me to eat more of what I like and to slow the impact of the years (at least in my own mind).
But when I’m not running, I enjoy: Traveling to see the family, golfing, hiking, and following the English Premier League.
