Have you enjoyed all that the Twin City Track Club has to offer? Have you ever looked at one of the amazing events the club puts on and thought to yourself, “Wow! That looks like a lot of work, but everyone seems to be smiling and enjoying themselves”? Are you grateful to have access to all the wonderful has runs, breakfast runs, races, and events that TCTC puts on? Now may be the perfect time for you to put that gratitude into action by volunteering to make our next events even better!
Look, I get it. As a busy father, husband, and business owner I know how crazy schedules can get. Between work obligations, getting the kids to school, sports, and recitals and taking care of the honey-do list at home it can often seem overwhelming to think of adding in one more thing. Even if we have the best of intentions, we often struggle to give back in the ways we really want to the causes we truly value. If you resonate with anything I just said, stay with me because this message is for you.
With all you have going on you deserve to be able to contribute to the causes you care about and not sacrifice your sanity in the process. Well, I have good news! TCTC has several opportunities for you to get involved in a way that makes sense for your schedule and your stage of life. Busy parents balancing kids, a spouse, a career, and a running journey? The Hanes Park Cleanups may be just the thing for you! Single, young professional who is really diving headfirst into this community? Host a run group, hash run, or breakfast run. Are you in school, recently retired, or have some extra time on the weekends? Sign up to be a race timer. It’s fun, you get to work with great people, and we provide all the training! Plus, you get to be the one to celebrate each runner’s finishing time. No matter where or when you are on your journey there is a perfect way for you to give back!
Plain and simple, we are a volunteer army. There is a core group of individuals that make sure all the events you love happen! If you want to help keep the club going strong, then please consider volunteering for one of the opportunities below.
