My name is: Amy Xie
To sum myself up in a nutshell: I’m a runner, volleyball player, reader, gardener, foodie, and doctor. I strive to fit a lot of fun, fellowship, and care into a tiny bit of free time!
And I’m originally from: Cary, North Carolina
I’ve been in Winston-Salem: For my college years at Wake Forest University (go Deacs!) and moved back in 2020 at the start of residency
Became a TCTC member because: The Thanksgiving hash run and St Patrick’s day scavenger hunt were so much fun!
Been a “runner” since: 2014 when I signed up for the Vienna half marathon on a whim
My motivation to run is: Indulging my voracious appetite while moderately sore
But when I’m not running, I enjoy: Trying recipes from my King Arthur baking book, propagating plant cuttings, traveling to National Parks with my husband Josh, putting coffee or tea in my cup of honey, reading library books barefoot on the lawn
