How To Keep Running Fun

When you’re running do you ever think, “Running just doesn’t feel fun for me anymore”? Well, let me tell you some things that your family, friends, and yourself can do to keep running fun!

The first thing you could do is plan a brunch run with family and friends. I mean who doesn’t love breakfast?! It keeps running fun when you’re with the people you love and eating the food you love. The second thing you could do is run with a friend. Talking to someone can help relieve stress. A third thing you could do is run at a fun pace while listening to music. A tip here is to listen to songs that are like, “I am going to have a fun run!”

Now, here are some ways to avoid feeling pressure when you run. If you’re running with a friend don’t feel like you’re competing against them because this is a no stress zone. Just have fun! Another way to avoid pressure is to give yourself non-time-based goals. A time-related goal will give you a lot of pressure because if you are about to run, then you’re going to be like, “I have to run super fast”, and if you don’t make it, you’re going to get frustrated. Don’t do that. The last thing is positive affirmation. When you say things to yourself make sure they are absolutely true and uplifting. For example, if you are running and it feels difficult, instead of saying, “I can’t do this”, say, “this is hard but I can do hard things!”
