Teresa Inman – Treasurer

Serving as treasurer of the Twin City Track Club is the perfect blend of Teresa’s professional abilities and personal interests.  She has an undergrad degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Accounting from UNC-Chapel Hill.  She now works as a self-employed CPA, which provides professional work and a flexible schedule.  Her days are often monopolized by her three boys, twin college sophomores (UNC and UGA) and an 8th grader.

Teresa started running competitively late in life. Thus, was on an upward curve, trending faster for a number of years.  Now at age 47, she is just trying to control the slide down the back of that curve.   Her general love of running and accounting/numerical details generated a love of training theories, pace strategies, and workouts. About 15 years ago, Teresa started running races and chipping away at milestones.  The marathon distance monopolized her focus the most over the years.  She will always choose to do a long run workout over 400s on the track.  From her first in 2012 to the last in 2019, she ran 10 marathons including 6 consecutive Bostons and completed Boston to Big Sur in 6 days in 2015.  Her current and, potentially lifetime, marathon PR is a laughably tragic 3:00.03. These days those long run workouts have been adjusted for the half marathon distance.   She might not achieve the sub 3 milestone but loves every minute and detail of the training.

In addition to treasurer of the TCTC, Teresa has served in many volunteer roles such as president of the Junior League of Winston-Salem, chair of the Board of Managers of the WGW YMCA, treasurer of many PTAs (Whitaker, TJMS, and MTHS Athletic Board), treasurer of the Whitaker Circle of Commitment, Crazy Running coach, and board member of Camel City Track Foundation.
